Todays catch June 2nd - 2007
I was at alum creek last night and had a good trip - I went alone with out my crew- its hard to
do all that stuff with out help- Trolling is tough alone in a good size boat- the water temp was
82 deg wind was light from the north- I fished north of Howard rd south of hogback rd- I got
about 10 channel cats around 3 to 5 pounds - but then the port side planer bobber sang its
song and bent all the way to the water-   the boat stopped moving forward and started to
move to the rear port side-  even with the trolling motor on low speed this fish pulled the boat
back and to port- I got the rod out of the holder and turned the trolling motor up on high to
keep the other rod's planer bobber and line clear - then I fought the fish to boat side- Now
there I stood and marvled and my skill that I got this huge catfish and was going to take his
picture and show everyone on my site- so I stood on the swim platform and wondered
-should I get the net or lip land this fish  - just then the fish just got off and slowly swam
away- Im sorry that I could not get a photo of the big fish to show everyone -- but I got some
nice fish and had a good trip-- the catkiller
