| Todays catch June 23 we done good last night and early this morning -with 9 or 10 nice channel cats 2 of them were good size. Everyone on board got a fish before it started to rain- It rained most of the night -we jumped right in the cabin till the rain stopped- but it did'nt stop till 6 a.m.glad we have a warm cabin to sleep in -I started to troll and cast the planer bobbers out (Its so nice to cast planers instead of slowly feeding line -it saves time and gets your lines right out to fish faster than ever before- I have had fish slam the planer bobber moments after it hits the water -why you would still be feeding out line with a regular planer and miss all the big fish we cast to) The light had just started to peak out and I had a super rod buzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. the drag on our port side rod screamed as the boat stoped moving forward and slowly went aft and to port- I turned off the trolling motor pulled the rod out of its holder and started reeling and eye crossing the fish by a couple hard sets with the rod - He felt like a dink -till he came to boat side- then he proved he was no dink . The rod bent hard and the drag started to go again - wow big fish on ,this guy just did not want to come to the boat- He made strong runs in circles pulling the boat in a complete half circle by the time I got him to the net- yeah baby thats why we fish catfish (lets see a bass do that) oh yea bass ,now thats good bait too where its legal right ? big cats love them. So anyway heres the pictures of our catch. |
| Tinys planer bobber -I had to break it in for him- I mean you dont just send something to a great catfisherman with out trying it right ? All the fish on this page were caught with tinys bobbers-we made them today and I had to try them thanks tiny -See they work great. They are going in the mail tomarrow. |
